A Christian Art question

This Sunday I will be preaching at the First Presbyterian Church of East Brady.  The last time I was there I noticed the many stained glass windows; the picture above is of one window in a prominent location at the front of the sanctuary.

It is in a style that I have seen when classical paintings were translated into the medium of stained glass.  I have not been able to find out what the original painting was.

It would be easy to assume that the picture is of Mary and Jesus, but usually the art chosen for use in a church sanctuary would be of a scene from the Bible.  If this is a scene from the Bible, which one is it?  I'm not saying that this was not intended to be a picture of Mary and Jesus, but I can't really tell.

My best alternate guess is that this is an interpretive depiction of Proverbs 1:8, "Do not reject your mother's teaching."

Does anybody have any solid information about this picture? I'm interested in hearing what you think or know.
