Gatepost gargoyles

I was attending a meeting in Mobile, Alabama earlier this week. The air conditioning in the hotel had me chilled to the bone, so early Tuesday morning I went outside for a long walk in the dark and I warmed up fast. While I was walking I came upon these two gargoyles on gateposts.
