Don't expect the Gong Show

The final concert of the 2006 Tarentum Summer Concert Series has been changed from the originally planned karaoke contest because of the low response from people planning to compete. Locals who were looking forward to laughing at their friends' and neighbors' attempts to sing will need to set their expectations higher.

The Stroller in today's Valley News Dispatch reports the new plans for the concert to consist of performances by local entertainers.

The concession stand at Captain Jacks will open at 6:30. The concert starts at 7:00 PM.
